Alexandra Jennings LL.B, T.E.P. Notary Public
Alex is Managing Director and head of the Private Client Team. She qualified
as a solicitor in 1980 and has been with Heppenstalls throughout her working life, also having trained with the firm. Alex specialises in Wills and estate planning, particularly in relation to Inheritance Tax. She also deals with Powers of Attorney and the general management of elderly clients affairs, including the payment of care costs. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Notarial Practice from the University of Cambridge and, as a Notary Public, is able to notarise documents for use abroad. Alex is also Honorary Secretary to the Bournemouth & District Law Society. Alex is married with a 15 year old son; She does not have much spare time, but enjoys walking the family dog for relaxation.
Christian Bennett LL.B
Christian is a Family Solicitor having trained with Heppenstalls and was admitted in 2003. He is a Director at the firm and a member of Resolution. He practices in all areas of Family Law with particular emphasis on the law relating to children and Domestic Violence. He has recently completed Collaborative Law training and is now qualified to conduct and resolve family disputes by way of the Collaborative process.
Lia Martin
Lia joined Heppenstalls New Milton as a Paralegal in the Family Team in May 2009. She undertook secretarial duties for Christian Bennett and regularly attended Court behind Counsel. In January 2010 Lia became the Practice Manager of the three offices covering a vast range of duties such as human resources, marketing/advertising, events coordination, building maintenance, general office, performance and quality management! Lia has an insurance and customer service background and studied Business and Management in further education. |

Julian Heath LL.B
Julian joined Heppenstalls in the Conveyancing Department at the New Milton office in April 2011. Previously he worked for a national developer and law firms in the Bournemouth and Poole area. A solicitor of many years' experience, Julian is a property specialist who deals with an extensive range of residential and commercial conveyancing transactions as well as land development.
Richard Wadsworth LL.B
Richard joined Heppenstalls in February 2010 as a Solicitor in the Probate / Wills / Trusts department in our Lymington office. He studied law at Bournemouth University before graduating from Guildford College of Law with distinction before being admitted as a solicitor in 2007. Richard is a student member of STEP and hopes to have achieved a full membership by mid 2011. A keen water sports enthusiast, Richard is often seen either rowing or windsurfing along the local coast.
Ann Herd
Ann is an experienced family lawyer and joined Heppenstalls in 1997. She was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2002, and admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2011. She is a member of Resolution and a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel. She is also a Collaborative Family Lawyer. Ann specialises in divorce, child related matters, financial settlements, cohabitation and property disputes. Ann also practises in general litigation.
Richard Boyer
Richard joined Heppenstalls in October 2010 as the firm's Head of Conveyancing and is based in at our Lymington office. He is a Solicitor with wide experience in property law including residential, commercial, property development and housing associations. After training in Bournemouth, he worked in London for 10 years, then married, returned to the South Coast, and resumed his hobby of yacht racing. His main pastimes now are bridge and ballroom dancing.
Suzy Gibbs
Suzy is a Licenced Conveyancer who joined the Firm in 2007. Suzy deals with all residential matters and has over 20 years conveyancing experience. She previously worked for law firms in the City of London and in Guildford, Surrey prior to relocating to the New Forest.
Rosalind Gibbins
Ros joined Heppenstalls in 1991 and has dealt with probate at the Lyndhurst office since 1993. She also deals with income tax matters. Ros has a background in banking and is a student member of STEP.
Anita Hanrahan
Anita handles probate and the management of client's affairs. Anita also has a background in banking, having joined Heppenstalls in 2004.
Stephanie Doe
Stephanie is a Trainee Legal Executive within the family department and a Member of the Institute of Legal Executives. Stephanie is currently undertaking her studies leading towards her admission as a Fellow of the Institute. She is familiar with all areas of family law.
Marie Phillips
Marie is a Trainee Legal Executive within the Conveyancing department and a Member of the Institute of Legal Executives. Marie is currently undertaking her studies leading towards her admission as a Fellow of the Institute. She is familiar with all areas of Conveyancing and has worked with for firm for 29 years.
